Monty Python’s SPAMALOT Kicks Off North American Tour at Playhouse Square

Published on

Producers Jeffrey Finn and Roy Furman have announced that the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Monty Python’s SPAMALOT will launch its North American tour at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio. The tour will tech and begin performances on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Connor Palace, with seven performances scheduled through December 6.

Following its acclaimed Broadway revival this past spring, SPAMALOT will hit the road, visiting more than 30 cities in its first year, including major stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, and Houston. Additional cities will be announced soon, and casting is expected to be revealed this fall.

Originally debuting on Broadway in 2005, SPAMALOT features a book and lyrics by Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle. The show earned 14 Tony nominations and took home three awards, including Best Musical. Josh Rhodes, who helmed the Broadway revival, returns as director and choreographer for the tour.

The creative team also includes scenic and projection design by Paul Tate dePoo III, costumes by Jen Caprio, lighting by Cory Pattak, sound by Kai Harada and Haley Parcher, wigs by Tom Watson, and music supervision by John Bell. Casting is by Geoff Josselson, CSA, with RCI Theatricals serving as General Manager.

Lovingly ripped from the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, SPAMALOT promises absurd hilarity with iconic elements like killer rabbits, taunting Frenchmen, flying cows, and unforgettable songs including “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” and “The Song That Goes Like This.”

Tickets are not yet on sale, but Playhouse Square donors and season ticket holders will receive early access.
