F. Scott Fitzgerald’s timeless masterpiece has taken on new life as a hit musical, and it’s heading on the road for its highly anticipated 2025-2026 North American Tour. Joining the Playhouse Square KeyBank Broadway Series next season, The Great Gatsby is set to dazzle Cleveland audiences in the second-largest theater district in the United States.
After earning rave reviews in New York City, this electrifying production makes its national debut, bringing Fitzgerald’s iconic Jazz Age tale to the Broadway stage for the first time. With a dynamic jazz- and pop-infused score, the musical has been hailed as an “extravaganza that explodes with life and energy” (Entertainment Weekly). The show’s accolades include the 2024 Tony Award® for Best Costume Design, the 2024 Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite New Musical, and nine top honors from BroadwayWorld’s 2024 Theater Fans’ Choice Awards, including Best Musical.
The Great Gatsby boasts an award-winning creative team, featuring scenic and projection design by Drama Desk Award winner Paul Tate de Poo III (Spamalot, Tommy at The Kennedy Center), Tony Award-winning costume design by Linda Cho (Anastasia, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), and sound design by Tony Award winner Brian Ronan (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Book of Mormon). Lighting design is by Cory Pattak (Spamalot), while hair and wig design is crafted by Drama Desk Award winner Charles G. LaPointe (The Cher Show, SpongeBob SquarePants) and Rachael Geier. The music is brought to life under the supervision and arrangements of Jason Howland, with orchestrations by Howland and Kim Scharnberg (Jekyll & Hyde). Casting is led by Stephen Kopel and Jillian Cimini at C12 Casting (Gutenberg! The Musical!, & Juliet).
