About six years ago I stumbled across a video on YouTube of a group of young musicians performing a cover of Crazy Train on the Santa Monica pier – turns out it was a family affair, all members of the band being brother and sister – and they kicked ass. I followed them and over the years have watched them grow, not just in age but also in sheer musical excellence. The band is LILIAC and this summer they’ll be bringing their tour – and their brand of metal – to The Winchester Music Tavern in Lakewood.
Since 2019 they have released three albums of original music – the latest being MADNESS which came out last year. These young metal heads are the real deal – this is a show you should make a point of attending as I don’t think they’ll be playing small venues much longer.
