The Outsiders Joins Playhouse Square’s 2025-2026 Broadway Series

Published on

Cleveland’s Playhouse Square has officially announced the final show in its 2025-2026 KeyBank Broadway Series: The Outsiders, winner of the 2024 Tony Award for Best Musical. The adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s beloved novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s film will take the stage from April 28 to May 17, 2026. Season ticket packages will be available starting Wednesday, February 26, at 11 a.m.

With a book by Adam Rapp and Justin Levine, music by Jamestown Revival and Levine, and direction by Tony Award winner Dayna Taymor, The Outsiders brings the story of Ponyboy Curtis and his Greaser family to life with a dynamic, original score.

“From the very beginning, we knew this show was something special,” said David Greene, senior vice president of programming at Playhouse Square.

The upcoming season is packed with Broadway’s best, including the national tour launches of The Notebook (September 6-27, 2025) and Hell’s Kitchen (October 10-November 1, 2025), along with Stereophonic, Suffs, Water for Elephants, and The Great Gatsby.
