Playhouse Square has officially announced its 2026–2027 KeyBank Broadway Series lineup, bringing a mix of new productions, major award winners, and returning favorites to Cleveland.
Leading the season is Death Becomes Her, the musical comedy based on the 1992 cult classic film, which will launch its national tour at Playhouse Square this fall. The show is set to run September 12 through October 3, 2026, following an extended technical rehearsal period beginning in mid-August — continuing Cleveland’s role as a frequent first stop for major Broadway tours.
The rest of the lineup features a strong mix of new and established titles. Mamma Mia! returns to the series for the first time in 25 years (January 5–24, 2027), followed by BOOP! The Musical (February 2–21, 2027) and Maybe Happy Ending (March 2–21, 2027), which took home six Tony Awards in 2025, including Best Musical.
Also included is a revitalized touring production of The Phantom of the Opera (April 14–May 9, 2027), featuring Maria Björnson’s original design, along with Buena Vista Social Club™ (July 27–August 15, 2027). The season wraps with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (August 24–September 12, 2027), bringing the Wizarding World to the Playhouse Square stage.
Playhouse Square remains one of the top touring Broadway markets in North America, with approximately 40,000 season ticket holders each year.
Season ticket packages are on sale now, ranging from $185 to $810 per seat, with savings compared to individual ticket purchases. Packages also include added benefits like flexible payment plans and ticket exchange options.
