Christian hardcore band, For Today, announced that this coming fall tour will be their final run as a band.

In a letter released on Facebook the band writes, “We met our wives, had kids and moved to different states because of For Today. It’s been an incredible experience, but we feel like now is the time to close this chapter of our lives and move on..” The open letter goes forward in assuring fans that there is no bad blood or controversy within the group. The memo states “We’re all still best friends and will continue to be long after the band is over.”

Originally from Sioux City, Iowa, For Today boasts an impressive 6 full length studio albums and 2 EP releases. Their 2012 release of their album Immortal marked a career high as it ranked 1st in both the Christian and secular Hard rock charts, and 15th in the over all charts.

The Farewell Tour, featuring Gideon and Wage War, is set to come through North and South America as well as several European dates that are soon to be announced. The band’s final show will be held on December 12 at The Door in Dallas.

Ohio fans can catch For Today one last time in Cleveland on September 16 and in Columbus on December 12.
