It is the last Friday in February, Cleveland! That means we are only a few weeks from St. Patrick’s Day and warm weather. My mood is brighter, and I am ready to jam out to these new tunes this weekend. Start your spring cleaning early by replacing last season’s playlists with this list of new releases.

Take Your Time // Vance Joy

Leave it to Vance Joy to always make it onto my studying or driving playlist, which is an honor considering those are my most played and coveted playlists. This song could fit seamlessly onto the soundtrack of the next Nicholas Sparks movie and gives Ed Sheeran’s love songs a run for their money. Switch Sheeran’s guitar for a ukulele and you have Vance Joy. ‘Take Your Time’ is the first single off of new album ‘Nation of Two’ which came out just this morning.

Psycho // Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign

If you aren’t Post Malone’s biggest fan, who are you? I have absolutely never been a rap or hip/hop fan whatsoever, but even I have a true love for the music that Post Malone drops. He really gets it right every time, and new song ‘Psycho’ is no exception. The collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign has fans talking about a second album.

44 More // Logic

Logic released album ‘Everybody’ last year and has been on the charts ever since. As soon as I heard ‘44 More’ I could just hear it being played at every college party for the next year. It also would serve me well to learn the lyrics—what a party trick that would be. The nerdy looking rapper proves time and time again he is anything but.

Motherlove // Bea Miller

Ultimate “girl power” singer/songwriter, Bea Miller, put her raspy, beautiful voice to another set of powerful lyrics. ‘Motherlove’ is just a taste of her incredible new album titled aurora. The nineteen-year-old New Jersey native competed on The X Factor in 2012. She only placed ninth on the show, but the exposure rocketed her fan base and helped her gain traction once she signed to her label.

Lovin’ is Bible // The Aces

Fierce, female foursome, The Aces, released ‘Lovin’ is Bible’ this week and, I must say, these girls are one of my new favorites. I saw them live when they opened for COIN last week, and they killed it with awesome stage presence and high energy songs. A headlining tour of their own is absolutely in their future.

Next To Me // Imagine Dragons

Grammy award winning alt-rock band, Imagine Dragons, are the 20th most popular artist on Spotify with over 30 million monthly listeners. New release ‘Next to Me’ is one of many singles released from their 2017 album ‘Evolve.’ Their sound does not change at all from album to album, which might be the key to their success and loyal fans.

I don’t know what was in the water in the studios this week, but each of these songs are powerful, uplifting and make me want to dance. Enjoy the weekend, NEO.
