The Cavaliers brought us a win last night, and the music industry gave us winning content this week. Today we have more from Justin Timberlake’s upcoming album, a new track by The Chainsmokers, Dashboard Confessional and more.
Sick Boy // The Chainsmokers
The Chainsmokers are known for mixing the music while a guest artist sings their lyrics. On new track, ‘Sick Boy,’ they tackled both the music and the vocals themselves, proving they do not need Halsey or Coldplay to help them produce a chart topper. The male duo consistently releases hit after hit and it is clear that they will not be slowing down.
Supplies // Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake gives us another taste of his upcoming album with ‘Supplies.’ The second single released by Timberlake this month showcases his rap abilities and definitely strays from his typical style. It may not be his best piece, but it is worth checking out as it will be talked about in the media for days.
The Good Side // Troye Sivan
Following in the footsteps of Timberlake, Troye Sivan has also released the second peak of his upcoming album. ‘The Good Side,’ a slower, almost folk sounding song is a beautiful and vulnerable addition to his release last week. I can already hear the whole album is going to come together and I cannot wait to hear the whole thing.
Heart Bet Here // Dashboard Confessional
Holy throwback. Dashboard Confessional has not released an album since 2009, but they have come back with ‘Heart Beat Here,’ their new song. This track absolutely shows that the group has matured during their hiatus but are back with music that their fans will still love. Finally, they will be coming out with their first full album in years, ‘Crooked Shadows,’ on February 9th.
Parallel Line // Keith Urban
Keith Urban is much more than just Nicole Kidman’s red-carpet arm candy, and he reminds us of that with new track, ‘Parallel Line.’ Urban makes a country music fan out of me, which is just about the hardest thing to do. He has always brought a sweet subtlety to country music which is exactly what he has done again with this one.
Cleveland, which of these new tracks make you want to pop in your headphones and enjoy the weekend?
