Cleveland will be invaded by a funky band of the undead Friday night as Nashville-based funk outfit Here Come The Mummies slither into the House of Blues.
Rumored to consist of several Grammy-winning musicians, the funk band has kept the identities of the performers, er, under wraps as they may be contracted out to various record labels.
Having been called one of the “most fun shows you’ll see this year,” HCTM has released sixteen albums since their inception in 2000. Their last album, 2016’s A Blessing and a Curse, has paved the way for an even more rigorous touring schedule. They last played the Cleveland area in support of that album with a gig at the House of Blues, hitting the East Fourth venue in September of 2016. Speaking of the House of Blues, they’ve played to capacity crowds at many of the HOB locations, most recently selling out the 1,350 seat Chicago location this past February.
