Michigan post-hardcore band We Came As Romans are releasing their next album, Cold Like War, set for October 20th.

The band was formed in Troy, Michigan in 2005 and has seen the change of its lineup through multiple members. They have released two EPs and four full-length albums. Cold As War follows up 2015’s We Came As Romans.

The fifth full-length album for the six-piece is a new chapter in the band’s desire to keep moving and growing as artists. The band sees Cold As War as representative of the internal conflict they went through as a band in recent years.

Cold Like War is about struggle, those trials. They can turn us towards each other, towards those we love, towards those who have supported us. Because the last two years to us have felt like this giant war—an internal war—to figure out the right path for our band… to figure out how to stay together and be happy again.”

– guitarist and songwriter Joshua Moore.

The band also released a first single, “Cold As War,” the title track of the album, along with a music video, which can be viewed below. We Came As Romans will be on tour this Fall with I Prevail, with more information on tour dates here.
